Carianne Callinan, a senior at Housatonic Valley Regional High School, spent her summer internship at the Sharon Playhouse. Carrie knew the moment she heard about the program that she wanted to be involved. With a love of music and theater, the Sharon Playhouse was a perfect fit for her summer ambitions. Carrie had the opportunity to assist stage management in the production of the play “All Shook Up,” which went live in July. She was responsible for helping set up and run play rehearsal; build set prompts; assist in set changes and work closely with the actors, helping to maintain schedules.
“I learned so much about so many different things; this was an amazing opportunity because this is what I would like to do as a career.” The fast-paced environment of the theater was a great learning experience for Carrie and gave her a better understanding of the environment she is interested in making a profession. “I cannot be more grateful for everything I did and learned while I was at the Sharon Playhouse.”
